David Newby
David works across Africa as a consultant to some of the biggest NGOs in the world, assisting them with organisational and leadership development. He has practical experience in running NGOs having been involved in helping to launch the District Six Museum as well as his highly effective role in the founding and growth of Gun Free South Africa.
Don Shay
Don has been actively involved in applied small business research projects, impact evaluations of small business support programmes, and social and ethical accounting work in South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, Nigeria and Bangladesh. He also served as the Research and Development Manager with the Triple Trust Organisation, a leading entrepreneurship promotion and small business development non-profit organisation based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Siviwe Minyi
Siviwe spent a number of years working with NGOs in the field of democracy education, justice, reconciliation and HIV & AIDS, including a year working with northern based donors through Interfund. He is a founder member of Bush Radio and is a pioneer in the emergence of new community media initiatives both as a trainer and producer, many of which have been in rural areas of South Africa. His extensive experience includes developing and implementing marketing strategies for a number of organisations and government departments.
Paul Bradnum
Paul is a Chartered Accountant and development practitioner. After 12 years of working for Coopers and Lybrand, Paul spent the next 13 years serving as the financial director and then executive director of the Triple Trust Organisation, leading them into the specialised area of Making Markets Work for the Poor.
Wendy Arendse
Wendy has a development, project management and administrative background. She worked in the research department of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and later went on to work for the Western Cape Provincial Government where she facilitated numerous poverty alleviation projects amongst the rural poor. She currently works as a consultant to a number of NGOs as well as the Western Cape Provincial Government.
Paul Sturrock
Paul has extensive experience in development work amongst disadvantaged communities in Cape Town. After teaching for 7 years, he moved into the NGO sector working for 5 years at Learn to Earn in Khayelitsha where he was branch manager and facilitated business skills training. Currently he is working as a consultant providing leadership support and organisational development to community organisations, schools and churches.
